Working with the community since 2013

2020-2022

Our garden and entire program was shut down by the COVID-19 Pandemic that affected so many in the Community. Frost from Uri Freeze event killed many of the newly planted fruit trees in our Orchard. We resolve to come back even better.

2019

Planted six Fruit trees in Orchard.

2018

Held 2nd Vegetable & Plant Show. Started rebuild of garden beds from Hurricane Harvey.

2017

Hosted District 4 Garden Clubs Annual Spring Convention. Hit by Hurricane Harvey.

2016

Launch of Junior Master Gardener (JMG) Learn, Grow, Eat, Go Program. GardenKids Of Kemah grew over 375 pounds of fresh produce for the community.

2015

GardenKids Of Kemah grows to donating produce to Lighthouse Christian Ministries in Bacliff.

2014

Received 501(c(3) designation from IRS. Donations of funds and goods deductible (Ask your tax Advisor).

2013

Formed First Junior Master Gardener (JMG) Group and held first Vegetable & Plant Show.
